Dye Workshop

  • Uru Whakaaro 72 Williamson Avenue Auckland, Auckland, 1021 New Zealand (map)

Discover the art of natural indigo dyeing and learn how to transform plain fabric into something unique.

Join Uru Whakaaro and Holli McEntegart, for a hands-on workshop exploring how to make a fermented indigo vat and use it to create beautiful blue tones on fabric. Learn about the process behind indigo dyeing, from preparing the vat to dipping your fabric and watching the colour develop.

Every piece comes out a little differently, making this a chance to experiment, get creative and take home something one of a kind.
Whether you’re new to natural dyeing or keen to explore a new creative practice, come along, get hands-on and discover the possibilities of working with indigo.
