La Rosa Reserve is in Green Bay, West Auckland. Awa Parahiku and Wai Tahurangi have been day-lighted from underground pipes to restore natural streams and habitats, and enhance stormwater management.

Uru Whakaaro worked with Ōkahu Rākau kaimahi to design, supply and established Pā Harakeke for the use of West Auckland weavers. Natural varieties of known weaving qualities were selected in quantities to allow for larger scale projects to be undertaken. This has provided planting for cultural harvest and is used as an outdoor classroom by local kura.
